September saw the return of our team get away at Boreland on Loch tay. Surrounded by stunning scenery and with hot tubs to relax in, staff were delighted to be back. This annual trip was a great opportunity to connect and unwind and also hear the latest company news, enjoy team building activities and celebrate our accomplishments with an awards evening.
Company news
Each person was given the opportunity to share their own reflections on Bright Care; what we do well and how we could improve. We also heard updates from the leadership team. Â It was inspiring to learn about how much we had achieved over the past year, from company growth to innovations that are shaping our future. We also had the opportunity to hear future plans for the business.Â
Team building activities
No team retreat would be complete without some organised fun and the team building exercise did not disappoint. From puzzles and brain teasers to axe throwing and orienteering, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was a good opportunity to work with others in a different way from normal and there was a lot of laughter as well as a shared sense of achievement.Â

Awards ceremony
After a delicious BBQ around an open fire pit, we had our much anticipated awards ceremony. Staff have been working towards these awards all year and it is incredibly important to recognise and reward effort and hard work and those living the Bright Care values.Â
This year’s award winners were:
- Revenue Growth – Borders
- Contribution Growth – Broughty Ferry
- Marketing Growth – Stirling
- Clients Growth – Borders
- Carers Growth – Cranleigh
- Can Do – Michelle
- Own It – Laura
- Championing People – GlasgowÂ
- One Team – Cheryl
Our Bright Care team get away was an excellent reminder that although the team is spread across Scotland and England, we are all contributing to the shared goal of bringing joy to later years and are truly part of ‘one team’ who value and support one another.
